Water and Paths
One of the stations of the local discovery game is the Bučina Water Reservoir; the described route leads to the pond’s dam. Špaček Pond is also a station of the local discovery game in Býšť, with the described route heading towards its dam. The Býšť Bell Tower is another station and can be reached from the church via a path between the houses. The Býšť Retention Reservoir is also part of the local discovery game; from the municipal primary school building, it can be reached via an asphalt road and a footpath.
The marked Biřička educational trail leads to the Bučina Spring. The spring is located where the water overflows from the pond. The Býšťský potok stream flows through Býšť; in the southern part of the municipality, it flows into the Brodecký potok stream.
Culture and History
The parish Church of St. George in Býšť is documented as early as 1360. Eduard Nápravník was born on 24 August 1839 in school building No. 72 in Býšť. He conducted an orchestra at the Russian opera for more than half a century and is considered the founder of the “Russian school of conducting.”
The exhibition of tourist postcards is open during the office hours of the Býšť Municipal Office.
