Choltice: Hotels and accommodation
Culture and history
The Baroque Choltice Chateau was completed around 1680 in the Early Baroque style, based on surviving sources. The chapel of Choltice Chateau is dedicated to the Tyrolean saint Romedius of Thaur, who is otherwise unknown in the Czech Republic, and features a unique iconographic and hagiographic concept.
The wooden bell tower in Choltice dates from 1863 and was built in the Alpine style. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the main gate to the chateau grounds. The Choltice cemetery complex was established in 1787 and forms an unusual ensemble of sacred buildings and natural areas.
There is a disc golf course in the park behind Choltice Chateau. It is free of charge and accessible at any time.
