Culture and History

The Chapel of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, built in 1871, stands in the village square of Čepí.

Finds from Čepí include the bronze hoard discovered in 1881 in the Olšina area near Čepí, consisting of two large bronze fibulae, 29 bronze arm rings, and fragments of bronze jewellery. Two mammoth molars were found at a depth of 7 metres in the Čepí brickworks; at a depth of 9 metres, part of a prehistoric deer antler was uncovered there.

From April 2021, a permanent exhibition entitled “Treasures of the History of the Municipality of Čepí” was scheduled to be established in the Čepí community centre; among other things, it covers the local tradition of brickmaking.

The Church of St George is located in the vicinity of Čepí. In the wider region lies Kačina Château.

Landscape

The Dubanka stream flows through the built-up area of Čepí. The Bučina and Krkanka mountains are located nearby. In the immediate vicinity are the hills of Na Hranicích [Jeníkovice u Choltic] and Chrast [Jeníkovice u Choltic].

Cycling and Events

Čepí is part of the cycling network of the Za Letištěm Microregion Association. The Čepí Angling Club holds fishing competitions several times a year.

Transport

Bus route 606 operated from 1 July to 31 August 2025 in the Čepí–Pardubice direction and back.
