Dříteč: Hotels and accommodations

Dříteč combines local history and the Elbe landscape with specific facts about cycling routes and events, as well as references to golf and wellness.

Nature

The protected natural monument Tůň u Hrobic protects a former branch of the Elbe with natural flora and fauna and extends across the cadastral areas of Dříteč and Hrobice. In the northern part of Tůň u Hrobic stands the Dřítečský topol, a memorial tree and representative of the old natural Elbe lowland flora.

In the immediate vicinity of Dříteč are Kunětická hora hill and (Kopaninské) [Staré Hradiště] hill. (Na Podbahní) [Pardubice-Ohrazenice] hill is located in the surroundings of Dříteč, while Skupice hill [Osice] lies in the wider regional area.

History and culture

The Church of St. Peter and Paul stands in the eastern part of Dříteč’s historic settlement area. The present church was built between 1749 and 1758 as a replacement for an older church building that had been destroyed at another location. Dříteč’s smaller cultural monuments also include four stone crosses. The Church of St. George is located in the vicinity of Dříteč.

Cycling routes and events

The Hradubická-Labská cycle route runs along the Elbe to the wastewater treatment plant in Dříteč and ends at a local road in the municipality. Another section of the cycle route runs from Dříteč along the Elbe to the bridge leading to Němčice.

The traditional Masopust celebration in Dříteč symbolically marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. It includes a procession as well as Masopust specialties.

Golf and spa

The Kunětická Hora golf course was designed by Australian golf course designer Graham Marsh. Cedrus Spa at Golf & Spa Kunětická Hora features a public sauna area with outdoor cooling facilities and a sauna bar.
