History and Church
At the end of the 12th century, a fortress and the Church of Saints Peter and Paul were built in Kojice. The church is a single-nave Romanesque building made of unplastered sandstone. Fortifications on the southern and southwestern sides of the former Kojice fortress remain preserved; its southern rampart reaches a height of up to 4 meters.
The historic Salt Road ran around Kojice and was also called the Trstenická Route. On the north wall of the church, near the triumphal arch, there is a large depiction of Saint Christopher with the Christ Child on his left shoulder; it dates from the 1260s to the 1270s.
