Stéblová: Hotels and Accommodation

A signposted yellow hiking trail from the Stéblová railway halt provides an approximately 8 km approach to Kunětická hora.

Local Connections

The Stéblová Circuit begins at Stéblová railway station. Immediately behind the road, a sandy forest path continues; the circuit follows a yellow-marked KČT hiking trail back to Stéblová railway station. Stéblová has rail connections towards Pardubice and Hradec Králové.

Culture and History

A sandstone cross stands at the southern end of Stéblová village square. It was erected in 1899 to mark the 50th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. Next to the cross stands a fire station with a small bell tower.

Stéblová was rebuilt in 1549 directly below the southeastern edge of the side embankment of the Oplatil fishpond. The original settlement of Stéblová was flooded by the Oplatil fishpond. A monument near Stéblová railway station commemorates the 1960 railway accident.

Bodies of Water

The Obecní rybník in Stéblová was revitalized in 2022–2023 and equipped with a boardwalk for visitors, access steps, and an access ramp. Since the last revitalization, fishing competitions have regularly been held at Stéblovský rybníček.

Events

The traditional Stéblovský pohár fire sports competition takes place around the turn of July and August. Stéblová’s feast at the end of July includes a Neckiáda on the village pond. In January, visitors to Stéblová can take part in zabíjačkové hody, traditional pig-slaughter feasts.
