Moravany: Hotels and Accommodations

Moravany is home to the Zámecký areál Moravany castle complex, a late-Baroque manor complex from the late 18th century with a small, villa-like residential chateau.

Culture and History

The historic long-distance route Trstenická stezka also passed through Moravany: its route led from Prague to Trstenice and onward to Moravia.

The Church of St. Peter and Paul is a late-Baroque building dating from 1782, designed by T. Haffenecker, and surrounded by a cemetery. Near the Moravany municipal office, a commemorative plaque also indicates the course of the 50th parallel.

Water and Sports

Duhové jezero is a former sand quarry with an adjacent sports complex. The area around the lake enables summer and winter sports; the Duhové jezero recreational area also offers the opportunity to swim.

Geographical Location

Moravany lies at the intersection of the Prague–Česká Třebová and Chrudim–Borohrádek railway lines.
