History and Landscape

Tetov was founded in 1791 by Jan Oktavián Kinský from the Chlumec nad Cidlinou estate. The name Tetov is derived from the names of the estate's owners. Tetov formerly belonged to the municipality of Kundratice; in 1937, the settlement was allowed to become independent.

A nature trail runs through the landscape around Kladruby in the vicinity of Tetov. The circular route is approximately five kilometres long and has twelve stops.
