Water and Landscape

The Opatovický Canal flows through Čeperka. It is a protected immovable cultural monument; its protected area includes plot 428/1 in the Čeperka cadastral area.

The historic Čeperka pond covered an area of 1,000 ha. Vilém II z Pernštejna had it created; in the 18th and 19th centuries, it was drained and converted into arable land.

The Malá Čeperka quarry lake is designated as a swimming lake with a sandy beach and clean water, as well as a restaurant, cabins, and sports facilities.

Cycling

The section of cycle route 4039 from Opatovice nad Labem via Čeperka to Stéblová railway station is 7 km long. On the Stéblová loop route, Malá Čeperka is listed as one of the sights worth seeing. In summer, the 32 km cycling tour “Regionem pod Kunětickou horou” passes the quarry lakes near Čeperka and Stéblová, where you can cool off.

Culture

Local monuments in Čeperka include a stone cross dating from 1858. The monument to those who fell in the First World War in Čeperka was ceremonially unveiled on 8 June 1924. The land reform monument in Čeperka was ceremonially unveiled on 19 July 1925.
