The most important landmark in České Heřmanice is the Church of St. James the Greater.
Historical Architecture
The church preserves a late Gothic portal from 1547 in the north wall of the presbytery. Between 1720 and 1733, it was rebuilt in the Baroque style. The front part of the nave was expanded with two Baroque side chapels. A Gothic portal to the sacristy has also been preserved in the left wall of the presbytery. The granary is one of the historically significant architectural monuments in České Heřmanice.
Landscape and Trails
A marked cycling route makes it possible to explore the rural landscape of České Heřmanice, characterized by its ponds.
The Borová educational trail begins at a former inn on a country road and leads past an orchard into the Labičské Valley. Along the route are information boards, an insect hotel, and a learning table; there are also stations for identifying trees. The educational trail leads to two historic underground ice cellars.
A tourist rest area is located at the end of the fitness trail.
Traditions and Events
Masopust with a traditional pig slaughter feast is one of the traditional events in České Heřmanice. At the Masopust celebration on February 15, 2025, a pig slaughter feast was prepared by the volunteer firefighters from České Heřmanice. The masked procession ended with the symbolic burial of the bass; in 2025, it took place for the eighth time.
The Staročeský Pilgrimage Fair is a traditional event in České Heřmanice. In 2026, the fair offered crafts and good food.
