Hrušová: Hotels and Accommodation

In the center of Hrušová’s large village square stands the Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Václav Říha financed it after winning the lottery. At the same time, it is an interesting example of Neoclassical architecture in the region. Next to the Trinity Chapel in Hrušová stands the Kalvárie stone cross, dating from 1839.

Water and Cycling

The Loučná River crosses the eastern third of Hrušová from south to north. The Loučná 5 fishing area stretches from the weir of the former Papírna mill in Hrušová to the river’s sources.

The “From Choceň to Pekla” cycling route is 35 km long and moderately difficult. It passes through Hrušová and runs between Vysoké Mýto and Pekla. Before reaching Hrušová, it follows the Loučná upstream.

Landscape

The Jarošov and Řetová hills are located near Hrušová. The nearby area also includes Zahořanský Kopec and Dráby [Vysoké Mýto] hills.

Geographical Setting

The Choceň–Litomyšl railway line touches the western edge of Hrušová.
