Nedvezi: Hotels and Accommodation

Nedvězí lies in a hilly valley on the northeastern edge of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The village is surrounded by the elevations of Librův kopec (722 m above sea level), Navrátilův kopec (737 m above sea level), Jírův kopec (729 m above sea level), and Kuklův kopec (698 m above sea level).

Landscape

The mountains Librův Kopec and Kočíko are located in the vicinity of Nedvězí. Mount Drašarov is located in the surrounding area, while Mount Babylon lies in the wider regional vicinity of Nedvězí. From Librův kopec, there are views in all directions, reaching, among other places, as far as the border mountains, Sněžka, and the transmitter on Praděd.

Nedvězský rybník was probably created toward the end of the 16th century. The pond is therefore one of the historic landscape features around the village.

Culture and History

Nedvězí is home to the filial Church of St. Procopius the Abbot. The Church of St. Procopius was built from June 1900 to September 1901.

Librův grunt is Building No. 1 on Librův kopec along the road to Bystré. Its foundations presumably date back to the 16th century. The place inspired Tereza Nováková to write her novel “Na Librově gruntě,” which describes the life of the local population in the previous century and their traditional customs.

A walk through Nedvězí leads past dozens of folk-architecture houses and corners where time seems to have stood still.

Cycling Route

The Polička–Svojanov cycling route and return reaches Nedvězí from the crossroads below Jaroška Hill via a dirt road. The route is 47.5 kilometers long and suitable for mountain bikes and cross bikes.
