Chříč: Hotels and Accommodations

Chříč is home to Chříč Château, a late Baroque building constructed at the beginning of the 18th century with an L-shaped floor plan. The château complex includes the Church of Saint John of Nepomuk, a farmyard, and a terraced park. The church was built as the château chapel in 1767.

Chříč can be reached by bus from Kralovice; in addition, a bus service from Zbiroh operates in the morning and afternoon.

Culture

The Chříč Brewery has a fully copper two-vessel brewing system directly fired with wood. The brewery’s Baroque malt house houses the Museum of Everyday Life, which vividly presents life in the village in earlier times.

The Milada Šubrtová Memorial Hall was opened on 24 May 2014 in honor of the artist Milada Šubrtová, who came from Lhota. It displays personal belongings, documents from her singing career, photographs, costumes, concert dresses, and the Thalia Cup.

East of Chříč, at a crossroads, stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dating from 1767 on a cuboid pedestal.

Nature

Two-thirds of Chříč’s administrative territory lie on the western edge of the Křivoklátsko Protected Landscape Area. Part of the Berounka Natura 2000 site lies within Chříč’s administrative territory.

Chříč is home to a yew grove considered the largest in Central Europe. The Dubensko Nature Reserve lies in the cadastral area of Chříč on the northern slope of the Javornice stream.
