Chodová Planá: Hotels and Accommodation
The cellars of Pivovar Chodovar, dating from the 14th century, are carved into granite and are still used for brewing beer today. One section of the cellars houses a small museum of the brewing industry, accessible through a 40-metre-long passage carved through solid rock. Pivovar Chodovar also offers a tour including visits to the floor maltings, brewhouse and open fermentation room, as well as a beer tasting at the brewery well.
Culture
The Baroque Church of St John the Baptist in Chodová Planá was built between 1748 and 1754. Its interior is decorated with frescoes by Eliáš Dollhopf. The château in Chodová Planá is also part of the town’s historic character: it is a largely intact historicist building. The château complex also includes a café open to the public.
The Old Jewish Cemetery lies in the hilly grounds of the extensive château park in Chodová Planá. It contains around 100 gravestones, most of which date from the 18th and 19th centuries. A Czech-German project restored the Old Jewish Cemetery; today, the well-maintained site once again attracts visitors.
The New Jewish Cemetery was established in 1890 and is one of the last surviving reminders of Jewish community life in Chodová Planá. It has a wrought-iron gate decorated with Stars of David and is freely accessible.
Landscape
The château park has the character of a landscape park: several gentle hills are separated by small valleys with streams. Regent Pond in Chodová Planá was created in 1479.
The Chodovoplánská fitness trail in the park of Chodová Planá has eight exercise stations. A cycle path to Planá branches off from the cycle path from Chodová Planá to Mariánské Lázně.

The area around the beer baths borders a château park. The beer bath in Chodová Planá includes a bath with Ilsano mineral water, special dark bathing beer and herbal extracts. The beer bath can be followed by classic massages or malt poultices.
The programme of the Saint John celebrations held in Chodová Planá included a beer barrel-rolling competition.
