Culture and history

Krašov Castle Ruins date back to a castle built before 1232 by Jetřich of the Hroznatovci noble family. The Rohy estate is located near the village of Bohy, was founded as early as the beginning of the 16th century, and rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1725.

A historic mill in the vicinity of Bohy was rebuilt by Plasy Monastery in 1698; it was built from red sandstone from Potvorov. The Týřov Ruins and the Zřícenina Valdek Ruins are located in the wider region around Bohy.

Landscape and trails

The restored Václav Tomeš educational trail features several information boards and rest areas. The Krašov geological site can be reached via an accessible tourist trail.

The hill (Nad hřbitovem) [Kladruby-Hřešihlavy] and the Na Chocholouši hill [Hlince] are located in the vicinity of Bohy. Berdovna Mountain and Holý vrch Mountain are located in the wider region around Bohy.

Churches and religious heritage

The Chapel of St. Vojtěch in the vicinity of Bohy has Baroque origins, was consecrated on June 10, 1714, and is a small niche chapel with a rectangular floor plan and a gabled roof. During periods of drought, historical processions were held there to pray for rain.

The annual summer event “Setkání u vodníka Vojty” is associated with tramp music.
