Dýšina: Hotels and Accommodation

Dýšina combines a protected historic villagescape with specific places of remembrance, an educational trail and an 18-hole golf course. The Dýšina Village Heritage Conservation Zone has been protected as a heritage site since 22 September 1995 and is considered one of the most significant ensembles of masonry folk architecture and 19th-century rural Classicism in the Plzeň region.

Culture and History

The cultural values of the Dýšina Village Heritage Conservation Zone include the church, the rectory and the large surviving farmsteads around the village square. The Church of the Most Holy Trinity and Saints Simon and Jude is originally Gothic and was remodelled in the Baroque style. It is located in the cemetery grounds on the outskirts of Dýšina, on the access road from Plzeň-Doubravka.

The Dýšina cemetery is also located on the outskirts, on the access road from Plzeň-Doubravka. Several notable figures are buried there, including Minister Kamil Krofta.

In front of the primary school in Dýšina stands the Patton Monument, a larger-than-life bronze statue. It was erected in 2005; its creator is Jaroslav Bocker. The Bílý Mill, built by Josef Bílý, is also part of the local history.

Nature and Educational Trail

The Kokotské rybníky educational trail begins in Nová Huť near Dýšina and forms an approximately 9-kilometre circular route. Along the trail, there are 11 information stations focusing on nature, history and local legends.

From Nová Huť, the Kokotské rybníky educational trail can be reached by car or bus. The bus stop is approximately 200 metres from the trailhead.

Golf

The Greensgate Golf & Leisure Resort in Dýšina has an 18-hole golf course.
