Radčice: Hotels and accommodations

Radčice combines geological themes, historic village structures, and paths through a distinctive rocky landscape. Zámeček Radčice is home to Cesta kamene, an outdoor geological exhibition about rocks. It includes an educational zone with benches, an information board, and a signpost. Using stone objects, it explores the connection between human history and the use of mineral resources, particularly in art, crafts, and construction.

Culture and history

The center of Radčice’s listed heritage zone is a small triangular village square complex, enclosed mainly by large farmsteads, with a village chapel in the middle. A considerable part of Radčice’s historic buildings dates from the 1830s. The pilgrimage chapel of Panny Marie Matky Boží milosti stands in the Kyjovský les in Radčice; an oak trunk is incorporated into the chapel. The history of the cemetery chapel is also connected with a preserved detail: After being recovered from the water in October 1945, the bell was rehung in the turret of Radčice’s cemetery chapel and remains there to this day.

Nature

Kozí pec is a small rock pyramid in a Carboniferous rock formation. Access to the rock formations in the Čertova kazatelna protected area is prohibited in order to limit erosion and protect the geological features. Studánka Viktorka was restored in 2013 at the site of the original spring.

Paths and getting there

The green-marked walking trail to Radčice is enhanced by the picturesque Viktorka spring, passes the Kozí pec rock formation, and continues past the Panny Marie Pomocné chapel. The path between Malesice and Radčice has two rest areas with benches and a bicycle rack for six bicycles. Zámeček Radčice can be reached by trolleybus 11 to the Pod Zámečkem stop; the stop is served only on request.
