Tymákov: Historic Village Center and Sutice Natural Monument

The historic village center of Tymákov was declared a village heritage zone in 1995.

Villagescape and History

On the northern side of Tymákov, large masonry farmsteads with Neoclassical gates dating from around the mid-19th century are concentrated around the triangular village square. Farmstead No. 71 includes a log house, a masonry granary dating from 1768, and a gate. The layout around the village square and the individual components of the farmstead offer different points of reference when viewing the villagescape according to building form and spatial relationships.

The former Tymákov magistrate's estate, No. 1, includes a log house and a gate. Tymákov has restored Hussite mounds. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, dating from 1849, stands on the bridge. The Chapel of Saint Wenceslas dates from 1881. You can classify these buildings and memorial sites separately according to their function and period.

In the historic part, architectural forms, individual farmsteads, and memorial sites stand side by side.
