Hlohovčice: Hotels and Accommodations

Hlohovčice is located on the marked cross-border cycle route Přátelství No. 2141, which runs from Srbice via Hlohovčice to Močerady. The Czech section of this route, which passes through Hlohovčice, runs along field and forest paths as well as smaller, lightly trafficked roads. In addition, cycle route No. 305 runs along the connection between Klatovy and Staňkov via Koloveč, Srbice, and Hlohovčice.

The immediate surroundings of Hlohovčice are generally not heavily forested. Běleč Hill is located near Hlohovčice. The nearby area also includes Klítka Hill [Hlohovčice], Holec S Hill [Srbice u Kolovče], and Radlice Hill [Koloveč - Zichov].

Places to Visit and Local Amenities

Near the municipality of Srbice, in the surroundings of Hlohovčice, there is a hill with the Church of St. Vitus, which is recommended as a place to visit. History and Townscape

Hlohovčice was first mentioned in written records in 1381. The area around Hlohovčice belonged to the historic Choden region; the so-called Zemská stezka passed through the area via Holec and Hájek toward the Všerubský průsmyk Pass. House No. 16 has a mezzanine floor and a richly decorated, Baroque-style curved façade dating from 1911.
