Nový Kramolín: Hotels and Accommodation

Culture and History

The late Baroque Sousoší Nejsvětější Trojice from 1766 is located in the garden of the Nový Kramolín kindergarten. The pedestal is made of granite, while the ensemble itself is made of sandstone.

At the exit from Nový Kramolín towards Vlkanov stands a chapel dedicated to Saint Wenceslas. It was built in the Baroque style in the 18th century and later remodelled in a modern style. Nový Kramolín also has a Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk.

The first written mention of Kramolín dates from 1379; at that time, the place was recorded as an abandoned village. Until 1786, Nový Kramolín belonged to the Pivoň estate of the Augustinian monastery, after which the municipality became part of the Poběžovice estate. The Valtířov Memorial stands on the site of the former village of Valtířov; it was built in the 1990s from granite, metal and wood.

Nature

Part of the Nový Kramolín municipal area lies within the Český les Protected Landscape Area and the Český les Nature Park. A protected quartz wall is also located in the cadastral area and village of Nový Kramolín.

A natural pond in Nový Kramolín was renovated in 2008 and equipped with new pools.

Trails and Water

Hiking trails run through the western part of the Nový Kramolín municipal area. The project for the pedestrian and cycling connection between Nový Kramolín and Postřekov was completed on 14 March 2025. The route between Nový Kramolín and Postřekov connects the two municipalities and is intended for pedestrians, cyclists, inline skaters and other users.

Towards Vlkanov, a water reservoir is used for swimming. Paved paths provide access to the surroundings of Nový Kramolín for short-term recreation.
