Hracholusky: Hotels and Accommodations

Hracholusky is situated on gently sloping terrain on the shore of the Hracholusky Reservoir and is an important recreational destination in the Plzeňský Region.

Water and Landscape

The Hracholusky Reservoir stretches for 22 kilometres through the rocky valley of the Mže River. A designated water area lies on the Hracholusky Reservoir, running parallel to its eastern shore.

Culture and History

The Chapel of St. Diviš in Hracholusky was built in 1682. It is a Baroque central-plan building with a hexagonal floor plan and an attached southern tower. The former village of Těchoděly disappeared during the construction of the Hracholusky Reservoir.

At the Reservoir

Pre-bookable sightseeing cruises depart from the Hracholusky or Transkemp landing stage, travel to the Pňovany railway bridge and return. The bridge stands on two independent stone pillars and is 44 metres high.

Swimming in the Hracholusky Reservoir is permitted. Fishing is permitted around the clock in the Mže 4 fishing grounds at the Hracholusky Reservoir.

Geographical Location

The Hracholusky Reservoir can be reached by train to Pňovany railway station; from there, you can continue on foot or by bicycle. In the vicinity of the Hracholusky Reservoir, camping and bivouacking outside campsites are prohibited. A water rescue station is located on the grounds of Kempu Keramika and operates around the clock during the summer season.
