Kamenný Újezd: Hotels and Accommodation

The area of Kamenný Újezd was first documented in writing on 12 March 1177, making it one of the oldest settlements in the Plzeňský kraj region.

History and Townscape

The rural farm complex No. 8 in Kamenný Újezd u Rokycan is listed as a cultural monument. It is an authentically preserved example of folk architecture from the second half of the 18th century.

Landscape and Views

The Klabava stream, also known as the Padrťský potok, runs along Kamenný Újezd. Nearby lies the Žďár Nature Reserve, with natural stands on a rocky hill, extensive beech stands rich in rubble, and a block field with significant lichen flora.

The Rozhledna Kotel lookout tower is located on Mount Kotel in the cadastral area of Kamenný Újezd. It is 28 metres high, with the top viewing platform situated at a height of 25 metres. From the Rozhledna Kotel, there are views of Kamenný Újezd, Rokycany and other surrounding municipalities.

Routes and Transport

A quiet cycle route along the river forms part of international cycle route No. 3. From the Rozhledna Kotel, a marked hiking trail continues to Kamenný Újezd and can be extended into a loop trail. The “Po Žďárských studánkách přes vrchol Žďár” route begins in the square in Kamenný Újezd and follows the green-marked trail to the Žďárské studánky information board.

Railway line 175 from Rokycany to Nezvěstice runs through Kamenný Újezd; the Kamenný Újezd u Rokycan stop is located there.

Culture and Local Products

A monument to those who fell in the First World War stands in the park next to the bridge over the Klabava in Kamenný Újezd. Local traditions such as Masopust have been revived in Kamenný Újezd. Loužek beer from a local private microbrewery is available to visitors as a refreshment option.
