Svojkovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The eastern part of the Svojkovice area is predominantly forested and forms a connection between the forests of Brdy and Radeč. The highest point of the area is Vydřiduch, at 513 metres above sea level.

Landscape and Nature

On its southern side, the Svojkovice area borders the Brdy area with the extensive Žďár and Trhoň forest massifs. The protected natural monument Zavírka in Svojkovice exposes clay shales of the Klabava Formation with Ordovician fauna.

The rocks at Žďár offer views of the surrounding area, particularly the municipality of Hůrky and the Radeč ridge with the summit of Brno.

Mount Hřeben is located in the vicinity of Svojkovice, as is Mount Hlava. In the wider regional surroundings of Svojkovice are the mountains Jordán and Beran.

Culture and History

Svojkovice was situated on the important road between Prague and Rokycany. At the beginning of the 16th century, the road running through Svojkovice was upgraded to an imperial road.

The U Svatého Petra Church is located in the vicinity of Svojkovice. The Svatý Martin Church is located in the surroundings of Svojkovice. In the wider regional surroundings of Svojkovice are the ruins of Týřov and the U Svatého Petra Church.

Transport

Svojkovice railway station is located on line 170 on the Beroun–Plzeň–Klatovy route. The station building, or the covered waiting area at Svojkovice railway station, is accessible to people with disabilities; all platforms are likewise accessible without barriers.

Event

The third edition of the event “Loučení s létem & gulášování” is scheduled to take place on 12 September 2026 in the grounds of the Svojkovice swimming pool; food, music and children’s attractions are planned.
