Kolinec: Hotels and Accommodations

One of the region’s significant historical monuments in Kolinec is the Church of Saint James the Greater.

Culture and History

The church was built around the year 1200 as a Romanesque, longitudinally oriented, fortified single-nave gallery church.

The Kolinec Jewish Cemetery is located about 100 meters from the market square in the direction of Sušice. 130 gravestones have been preserved in the cemetery. It is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

Trails and Landscape

The yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Kolinec and continues to Hartmanice, into the Ĺ umava Protected Landscape Area and Ĺ umava National Park.

Park and Leisure

The Kolinec castle park includes the FilipĂ­nka spring. The educational trail in the castle park features information boards about the Jewish cemetery and the Jewish community. A 15 km excursion route leads from Kolinec castle park via the Kolinec Jewish Cemetery and other stops back to Kolinec castle park.

The Kolinec swimming and sports complex includes a children’s paddling pool as well as a large and a small swimming pool. The complex also includes a multi-purpose sports field, which requires a reservation for use.
