Krašovice: Hotels and Accommodation

The most important monument in Krašovice is the Baroque Church of St. Giles. It was built in 1778.

Water and the Village Landscape

Krašovice lies at the confluence of the Bělá and Brodský streams. A 5.8-hectare pond divides the village into the two districts of Ves and Bojiště.

Paths and Routes

The district road from Plzeň to Manětín runs through Krašovice. Two marked routes also pass through the village: the 54 km-long cycling route “Through Forests Full of Blueberries” runs through Krašovice, while the section of the Železná trasa from Plasy Monastery to Krašovice is 10.2 km long.

Culture and History

Remains of the Krašovice fortress can be found on the eastern edge of the village near House No. 38. Only faint traces of the fortifications and a rampart have survived there.

Ateliér Krašovice regularly hosts exhibitions and openings in the attic of the municipal office. Weekend workshops focusing on artistic and craft techniques, led by specialist teachers, are also held there. Ateliér Krašovice also offers art classes led by MgA. Petra Krausová, attended by children and adults from Krašovice and the surrounding area.

Events

The KROSÁČEK children's group performs at various cultural events. The KROS theatre association performs in surrounding villages as well as in the local hall of the Krašovice Community Centre. The Krašovice Volunteer Fire Brigade organizes a Masopustní průvod every year.

At the traditional Krašovická jízda přes velký rybník event, participants attempt to cross a 125 m-long bridge over the pond by bicycle. The bridge is only 10–30 cm wide.
