Město Touškov: Hotels and Accommodation

The protected heritage zone of Město Touškov was designated by Decree No. 476/92 Coll. of the Czech Ministry of Culture.

Culture and History

The present-day Church of St. John the Baptist in Město Touškov was built in 1777–1778. The Holy Trinity monument on Dolní náměstí was erected in 1723 by the sculptor Karel Legát. The Baroque rectory was built in 1746 as the summer residence of the abbots of Kladruby. The Church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist is the parish church of Město Touškov.

Around 20 tombstones or tombstone fragments have been preserved in the Jewish cemetery in Město Touškov. The oldest legible tombstone, whose discovery was documented in the 1930s, came from this Jewish cemetery and dated back to 1543.

Memorial Signs

The memorial plaques are permanently installed in the pavement or in public squares. They contain reliefs of the depicted buildings with brief historical explanations for visitors. During a guided city tour, the first ten memorial plaques at historically significant buildings were ceremonially unveiled in Město Touškov.

Leisure

The recreational area by the pond features fitness equipment for adults, two large trampolines for children and teenagers, and an obstacle course.

Cycling

The cycle path between Město Touškov and Bdeněves connects to Cycle Route No. 37 and is fully illuminated. A cycle path connects Město Touškov with Bdeněves and runs through the countryside along the Mže River.

The Touškovská Rokle route is designed for cross-country riding and features technically demanding, rough sections. The Touškovská Rokle mountain bike trail runs through a gorge in the middle of a forest.
