Culture

The stone granary, part of the Statek U Podestátů farmstead, now serves as the Draženovský špýchar Museum. The museum is housed in this stone granary dating from the late 16th century. The exhibition at Draženovský špýchar presents a Chodská sence, Ždánovská and Chodská ceramics, historical documents, and examples of local handicrafts.

Draženov is one of the eleven Chod villages whose historical task was to guard the border against the incursion of enemy troops. Draženov is home to a Chapel of the Holy Trinity dating from 1720. A barn in the courtyard of house no. 5 is an immovable cultural monument.

The war memorial in Draženov is a stone monument from 1922 featuring figures of a woman and a boy dressed in folk costume. On the road to Luženice stands a small Baroque niche chapel with a square ground plan and a tent-shaped roof covered with sheet metal.

Draženov is home to a rare and significant Chod granary building in which residential and agricultural functions are combined under one roof, with the granary facing the village square at the front.

The surroundings of Draženov include Škarmanka Mountain, Spálený vrch Mountain, Čerchov Mountain, and Three Emblems Mountain.

Getting Around

Draženov is served by public scheduled bus services. In the immediate vicinity of Draženov, Dobrá Voda can be reached by bicycle or on foot: from Domažlice via Draženov and from Klenčí through the Draženovská hora forest.
