Obytce lies at the foot of the Plánický hřeben. The named route Klatovy–Čínov–Barák–Habartice–Obytce–Klatovy runs through the village. From Barák, the Všerubská Pilgrimage Route also follows a red-marked trail over an old stone road toward Obytce.
Culture and History
The Baroque Chapel of St. Barbara, dating from the 17th century, stands on a hill above Obytce. Obytce is also home to a memorial linden tree more than 400 years old.
Obytce Chateau stands on the site of an originally Gothic fortress first mentioned in 1543. In the 18th century, it was converted into a one-storey Baroque chateau with U-shaped arcades opening onto the courtyard.
The small Klenovka Chapel, surrounded by local legends, stands in the forest above Hoštičky at an altitude of 600 metres. In Obytce, the Pomník Suchých monument stands near the former U Suchých inn.
