Nicov: Hotels and Accommodation

The Church of St. Martin in Nicov is a late Romanesque building from the 13th century and is considered the highest-elevation Romanesque building in Bohemia. From the beginning of the 14th century until 1420, the building housed a Benedictine provostry of Ostrov Monastery. The porch is freely accessible for a view into the nave.

Culture

The Kohoutí kříž in Nicov is a remarkable work of folk art. The present example at the edge of the forest approximately 0.5 km northeast of Nicov is a copy from 2005. From there, a panoramic view can be enjoyed.

The summit of Královský kámen is a junction of marked hiking trails. From there, the view extends across the southern part of the Šumava towards Boubín and Třístoličník.
