History

The first written mention of Brťov dates back to 1399. By 1549 at the latest, Brťov belonged to the Černá Hora estate. The municipal seal of Brťov dates from 1823 and features a chapel in its coat of arms. Classes at the school in Brťov began in spring 1901.

Nature

The Křížkovský stream flows through the municipality of Brťov-Jeneč. The larger part of the municipal area, located north of road II/377, belongs to Lysicko Nature Park, which was designated in 1994.

A small pond was created by a stream on the western edge of Brťov-Jeneč and serves as a natural outdoor swimming pool. The pond is also used for fishing.

Local life

Annual parish-fair and dance events are held at Výletiště. The local football club FC Brťov plays its championship small-sided football matches at the local football pitch.

Once a year, during the Brťov pilgrimage, a Roman Catholic Mass is held in the chapel. Regular Sunday and holiday services take place at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Mary, Mother of the Lord, in Brťov.
