Crhov: Hotels and Accommodations

On the southwestern edge of Crhov, near the Crhovský potok stream, stands the former water mill. It is a two-storey wooden building; a remnant of the millrace with a water wheel has been preserved on its southwestern side.

Culture and History

The cross erected in Crhov in 1848 was installed to commemorate the abolition of forced labor and is now a cultural monument. Crhov Chapel, built in 1801, is also part of the village landscape. Its square floor plan measures 2.8 × 2.8 meters; in 2002, it was dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius.

A medieval stone with an engraved double cross was moved in 2002 from the road to Olešnice to the foundations of Crhov Chapel. The Crhov fortification site lies in the southwestern part of the village. Crhov’s fortification is mentioned in 1487.

Nature and Cycling Route

Crhov lies near the eastern edge of the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park. Marked cycling route No. 5089 runs through the village from Olešnice via Crhov to the Louka ruins; the route is 7 km long.

Traffic Information

Road II/362 between the edge of Crhov and the beginning of the town of Olešnice was completely closed from August 10 to 16, 2026. Further work was then carried out there until the end of September 2026, as expected, under alternating one-way traffic controlled by traffic lights.
