Whether you book a hotel or not, Dětkovice was first mentioned in writing in 1311 and lies on the Ivanovice–Morkovice road.
Nature and Location
The Dětkovický potok stream flows through the irregularly laid-out village square of Dětkovice. South of the village, it rises in the wooded Zadní les locality. More than half of Dětkovice’s cadastral area consists of arable land.
The surrounding area of Dětkovice includes Hradisko and Předina, both mountains. In the wider regional area, there are also Chlum and Ocásek, each a mountain.
Culture
The chapel at Jezírko in Dětkovice dates from 1889 and serves as a pilgrimage site. The war memorial is located next to the chapel on the village square in Dětkovice. The names of people who fell in the First World War are engraved on the war memorial.
In the wider regional area, there are Hrádek, a ruin, Hrad Buchlov, a castle, Kuchlov, a ruin, and Socha sv. Jana Nepomuckého, a monument.
Activities
The multi-purpose sports field “Oranžové víceúčelové hřiště” was built for basketball, nohejbal, small-sided football, volleyball, and tennis. The area around Dětkovice is suitable for walks and cycling trips. A red-marked hiking trail also runs near Dětkovice.
