Hlína: Hotels and Accommodation
The “Around the Birthplaces of A. Mucha and V. Menšík” hiking trail includes Hlína as one of its significant stops. The Vladimír Menšík lookout tower near Hlína is 22 metres high; from its viewing platform, you can look out over the Pavlov Hills.
Nature and Trails
Part of the Hlína area extends into Bobrava Nature Park, which has a dense network of hiking trails. Hlína lies along hiking routes in the Bučína forest complex. A signposted local cycling route also passes through the village.
Culture and History
The Church of St Kunhuta is the oldest building in Hlína. The Baroque church dates from 1771. Inside, there is a late Gothic wood carving of Saint Catherine dating from the end of the 15th century. Next to the church stands a small Calvary group from 1877.
Events
The traditional Rozmarýnové hody celebrations under the maypole take place on the penultimate Sunday in August. Lesní divadlo na Hlíně is an open-air amphitheatre with a capacity of more than 1,000 people, and it prepares exactly one production every year.
