Kozlany: Hotels and accommodations

Kozlany lies below the western peaks of the Orlovická vrchovina uplands. The surrounding area is hilly and characterized by numerous fields. Those who book a hotel in Kozlany will also find a completed section of the Cukrovarská dráha cycle path within the cadastral area.

Culture and history

KELNAROVY KOZLANY is a brass band showcase. A band is first documented in the Indication Sketch of Moravia from the years 1837–1843. The present-day band is believed to have been established in the 1840s. Beside the Chapel of Saint Florian stands a statue of the Virgin Mary; near the chapel there is also an 18th-century statue of Saint John of Nepomuk.

In Kozlany, visitors can see a preserved, beautiful entrance gate of a former Baroque manor farm. The village landscape also includes a group of nine memorial lime trees.

Cycle paths and events

The planned Cukrovarská dráha cycle and pedestrian connection between Vyškov and Kozlany is intended to follow approximately the former sugar railway branch line. Sugar beets were transported along this route to the Vyškov sugar factory.

For Sunday, May 24, 2026, the “Kozlanský okruh” cycling competition for children and young people was announced in the vicinity of Kozlany and Bohdalice.
