Culture

The former woodland area of Podivice has been incorporated into the Březina military training area since 1977. At the “Na Valech” archaeological site below Dudín in the woods are the remains of an old fortified settlement, as indicated by archaeological excavations.

In front of the church stands a sandstone statue of Saint Anne, integrated into the church enclosure. The statue depicts Saint Anne with the Virgin Mary and an open book.

The Ferdinandsko ensemble is significant from an urban-planning, architectural and cultural-historical perspective. The historic Baroque ensemble of the Ferdinandsko hunting lodge, dating from 1757, also includes a forester’s house, a gamekeeper’s house, a spring and former horse stables.
