Nemochovice: Hotels and Accommodation

Nemochovice lies in a hollow amid hilly countryside, 10 km northeast of Bučovice below Hradisko Hill; discover the village and view a hotel while learning about its history, landscape and local attractions.

Culture

Nemochovice is home to the Baroque Church of St Florian, which is protected as a cultural monument. It has a late Renaissance column high altar attributed to Melchior Kuntze of Freiberg and probably completed in 1605. The church also contains Baroque statues placed there secondarily: Ecce Homo from 1769 and a statue of St John of Nepomuk from 1713. The monument ensemble includes a marble cross in front of the church, which was restored in 2013.

The history of the 20th century is also present in the village. Nemochovice was awarded the status of a partisan village on 30 April 1965. The liberation monument was ceremonially unveiled on 8 November 1980. A base of the Olga partisan detachment was established in the home of the Pospíšil family in Špitálky.

Nature

The cadastral area of Nemochovice includes 333.2110 hectares of forest. The red-marked trail leads from Nemochovice to the summit of Hradisko and continues from there past the Zdravá Voda spring near Lhota to Švábenice. There is also a local cycling route in Nemochovice.

The yellow-marked Cesta partyzánského oddílu Olga trail begins in Brankovice and splits at the southern edge of Nemochovice. It leads through the Orlovická vrchovina highlands to Morkovice-Slížany.

Things to do

Since 1981, Nemochovice has hosted the annual Jezdecký den. The Nemochovice Volunteer Fire Brigade also organizes the traditional St Bartholomew's Festival.

JK Farma Nemochovice invites experienced riders and complete beginners to take part. It is a community of riders, breeders, children and adults. For other sporting activities, the multi-purpose sports field in Nemochovice can be used for tennis, floorball, small-sided football and volleyball. Two table tennis tables are also available.

The library in Nemochovice offers free book loans as well as free use of a computer and the internet. It has a computer room.
