Kuželov: Hotels and Accommodation
Kuželov is known above all for its historic windmill: the structure is a national cultural monument and was built in 1842. As a Dutch-style windmill, it has a rotating wooden roof on a solid stone building. Its original equipment has been preserved and extends across three floors.
Culture
The windmill complex includes a visitor center in a historic barn building. In addition, a new building on the windmill grounds was opened to the public from May 6. Kuželov is also home to the Church of the Holy Trinity, a High Baroque church built in 1718 with a tower dating from 1770.
Events
Since 1992, the closing concert of Horňácké slavnosti has taken place every year at the windmill in Kuželov.
Nature and Trails
Most of the cadastral area of Kuželov lies within the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area. A trail leads through this protected landscape area back to the windmill. From Velká nad Veličkou, visitors can walk approximately 4 km along the green-marked trail to the windmill or take the bus to Kuželov.
History
The three stones known as Tři kameny marked the former border between the estates of the Lichtensteins, the Magnis family, and Hungary along a historic road to Hungary.
