Podmyče: Hotels and Accommodations
Podmyče is situated in a valley on the road from Vranov nad Dyjí to Šafov and is predominantly surrounded by agricultural land. The forests of the national park are only a few kilometres away to the east, via nearby Vranov nad Dyjí. This clear geographical setting also provides the factual context when booking a hotel.

Landscape
The western boundary of Podyjí National Park begins at the Czech–Austrian state border southeast of Podmyče.
History and Culture
Podmyče was first mentioned in a document on 28 September 1323. Its history has always been closely connected with its affiliation to the Vranov estate. A visible historical landmark of the village is the Chapel of St Margaret, built in 1721. It is a single-nave masonry building.
The Posvícení festival in Podmyče is celebrated on the first Saturday and Sunday in October. Another historical activity of the local population was lime burning.
Routes
The Vranov–Hardegg cycling route reaches the junction towards Podmyče, turns onto a dirt track before the village, and continues to Felling. It is marked with green signs bearing a white flower.
The six-hour hiking route “Poznejme naše sousedy” also leads from Vranov nad Dyjí through Podmyče to Felling.
The 53 km cycling tour “Hrady a zámky česko-rakouského příhraničí” follows the road towards Podmyče. However, it does not pass through the village; at the junction, it continues towards Šafov with a short detour.
