Culture and history

The wayside shrine is a prism-shaped masonry shrine between residential buildings and also a valuable historical example of small-scale sacred architecture. The masonry shrine dates from around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries and stands on the main road in the municipality.

In Hostěrádky-Rešov, Ostatky includes a masked procession on the last Saturday before Lent. The original Rešov belfry was probably built in the second half of the 18th century. A comprehensive renovation in 1999 gave it its present appearance, including landscaped park grounds with a fountain.

Local festival dates are also part of the cultural calendar: Václavské hody were scheduled for September 24–26, 2026, while Babské hody take place in April.

Vinařství Vykoukal is located in the center of Hostěrádky-Rešov. The vineyards of Vinařství Vykoukal are situated in the cadastral areas of Hostěrádky-Rešov and Újezd u Brna along the Stará hora line.

The 38th wine exhibition “O víně – při víně” was also scheduled for April 10, 2026, in the hall of the cultural center in Hostěrádky-Rešov.

Surroundings

From Hostěrádky-Rešov, Mohyla Míru can be reached on foot in less than half an hour. The monument commemorates the Battle of Austerlitz and also serves as the burial place of many fallen soldiers.
