Těšany: Hotels and accommodations
Těšany is home to Kovárna v Těšanech, a Baroque smithy dating from 1700. It is an exceptionally well-preserved building of a craft workshop connected to farm and residential buildings. Visits to Kovárna v Těšanech are possible at other times by prior arrangement for groups of at least ten people.
Culture
Zámeček is an early Baroque, single-storey building in private ownership and is not accessible; however, a larger part of the building borders a freely accessible footpath. In the second half of the 17th century, Dominicans established a residence in Těšany, from which Zámeček later developed.
Religious sites
The Church of Saint Barnabas was solemnly consecrated on 12 June 1907. It is a high-quality, stylistically pure example of late historicism and one of the landmarks of the municipality. It currently has three bells dedicated to Saint Barnabas, the Holy Family, and Saint John the Baptist.
The Chapel of the Virgin Mary was consecrated on 13 June 1948. It was built out of gratitude that the political prisoners from Těšany had safely returned from the concentration camps, and stands on a hill between Těšany and Borkovany. Pilgrimages to it are regularly held in May.
