Troubsko: Hotels and Accommodation
Troubsko is a place whose history can be seen not only in its chateau and ecclesiastical buildings, but also in local festivals, a distinctive traditional costume tradition and the landscape of the basin.
Culture
The present-day Troubsko Chateau was preceded by a Gothic fortress or fortified manor, which was already mentioned at the end of the 15th century. Construction of the chateau began in 1573 in the Renaissance style; in 1660, it was remodelled as a simple Baroque building. The chateau includes a park with two chateau pavilions, which were built when the park was landscaped in the early 19th century.
Construction of the Chapel of All Saints began in 1795, and it was solemnly consecrated on 29 September 1798. The chapel is a single-nave building with a polygonal apse and a four-sided tower; stylistically, it corresponds to the transition from the Baroque to Classicism. The Chapel of All Saints has been listed as an immovable cultural monument since 1958. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Troubsko has also been listed as an immovable cultural monument since 1958.
Following the movement surrounding the ethnographic exhibition in the 1890s, the Troubsko traditional costume acquired “national” embroidery in red, blue and yellow. Podskalák regularly organises the Svatodušní slavnosti and thus contributes to preserving local traditions.
Landscape
Troubsko lies almost in the centre of the so-called “Troubsko-střelická kotlina” basin, forms a northeastern spur of the “Dyjsko-svratecký úval” and is surrounded by the “Bobravská vrchovina”. The landscape is gently undulating.
The “Troubský potok” flows through Troubsko from northwest to southeast, receives two small tributaries there and flows into the Bobrava from the left near Anenský mlýn.
Troubsko railway station is part of the IDS JMK integrated transport system and is located in fare zone 410.
