The Řehlovice Cultural Centre is located on the grounds of a former manor farm, which was first mentioned as early as the 14th century. The public can attend exhibitions and ceremonial opening receptions there. The cultural centre also includes a Czech-German art park, which is open to visitors and displays works by Czech and German artists. A brewery was established on the former manor farm in the 16th century.
Culture and history
The local history includes the Baroque Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Řehlovice. It was probably built in 1717 on the site of an older church dedicated to Saint Nicholas, which probably dated from the 14th century. In 1741, the church was richly furnished, and it was remodelled at the end of the 19th century.
In Stadice stands the monument to Přemysl Oráč, created by Josef Max in 1841 and designated a national cultural monument. The monument is easily accessible year-round. Its reliefs depict the arrival of Libuše’s delegation and their arrival at Prague’s Vyšehrad.
Landscape and views
Rising above Stadice is Volská hora, a 309-metre-high, forested basalt hill. According to local legend, Přemysl Oráč’s oxen disappeared there when he unhitched them to go to Princess Libuše.
Radejčín Lookout Tower is a 30-metre-high metal tower integrated into a mobile communications mast. After climbing 97 steps, visitors can enjoy views across the Central Bohemian Uplands and the Ore Mountains. The tower has been open to the public since 2010 and can be reached via a yellow-marked hiking trail from Dubice or from the Radejčín stop.
