The waterfall near Františkov nad Ploučnicí is located on an unnamed stream along a trail marked in green between Benešov nad Ploučnicí and Františkov nad Ploučnicí. The Šarfenštejn educational trail, focusing on history and local heritage, also runs between the two towns.

Culture and History
Hrad Ostrý (Šarfenštejn) was built by the Markvartici on royal land around the middle of the 13th century; the castle was first mentioned in writing in 1268. Terezino údolí is a workers' housing estate that the Mattausch company had built in the mid-19th century for the employees of its cotton mills.
The wider region around Františkov nad Ploučnicí is home to the historical site of Hirniskretzschen, Hrad Střekov Castle, the historical site of Theresienstadt (concentration camp and ghetto), and the ruins of Starý Berštejn.
