Dobrná: Hotels and accommodations

The Sokolí vrch observation tower is a landmark of Dobrná. It is located at an elevation of 506 meters above sea level. In clear weather, the tower offers views of Děčín and the Sněžník observation tower on the border between the Czech Republic and Germany. Those traveling by bus to the Sokolí vrch observation tower can get off at the Dobrná, obecní úřad stop and walk back about 200 meters to the turnoff that leads directly to the tower.

Culture and history

The Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk in Dobrná was built in 1747. The rectangular 19th-century structure has a lower masonry section and an upper half-timbered section. Restoration work helped restore the chapel's historic appearance, as documented by a painting from the period of the Second World War. Dobrná also has a monument commemorating the victims of the Second World War.

The municipal mill in Dobrná was built in 1525, burned down, and was rebuilt in 1714. The former mill building stands in the southern part of Dobrná on the road from Dobrná to Děčín, on the right bank of the Dobrnský potok.

In the immediate surroundings of the village of Dobrná lies the Dobrná landform, which is classified as a mountain. Mount Netterskoppe and Mount Vrabinec are located in the vicinity of Dobrná. The historic site of Hirniskretzschen is also located nearby.
