Blankartice: Hotels and Accommodation

Blankartice is a valuable ensemble of rural architecture in the České středohoří, with an exceptionally well-preserved urban structure. The village lies on the northern edge of the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area.

Landscape and Waterways

Blankartice lies in the Terezínské údolí, a valley that slopes down from south to north, and extends on both sides of the Dolský potok stream. At two points in the village, the stream forms ponds through damming; these are used as fire reservoirs.

Rural Architecture and Crafts

Traditional log and half-timbered houses have been preserved in Blankartice, particularly timber-framed houses with an enclosed passageway. The house at No. 47 is a two-storey log house with a wooden gallery. The agricultural farmstead at House No. 47 includes a former retirement house, now bearing house number 104, as well as preserved adjoining stables. Local traditions of small-scale crafts included the production of birch brooms, especially in winter.
