Dittersbach: Hotels and accommodation

A circular trail connects the three most important viewpoints, Mariina skála, Vilemínina stěna and Rudolfův kámen, and can be completed in a few hours. The paths around Jetřichovice lead through a striking sandstone landscape with wide-ranging views and traces of history.

Trails and viewpoints

The red-marked trail from Jetřichovice to Mariina skála initially climbs mostly gently for just under two kilometres, before a final section with around 250 steps. Vilemínina stěna can be reached from Jetřichovice via the red-marked trail and via Mariina vyhlídka.

Rudolfův kámen is a viewpoint in the sandstone wall of the Jetřichovické skály, with a shelter that can be reached via 170 steps. From Mariina skála, there is a panoramic view of the Český Švýcarsko landscape, including Růžovský vrch, Studenec, Vilemínina stěna and other rocks.

The Jetřichovické vyhlídky viewpoints are accessible from Jetřichovice. The international long-distance hiking trail E3 also passes through Jetřichovice.

Nature

The cadastral area of Jetřichovice lies within České Švýcarsko National Park, which was founded on 1 January 2000. Vilemínina stěna is a 439-metre-high wall offering views of Jetřichovice and Růžovský vrch.

Pavlínino údolí, a partly rocky, wooded valley of the Chřibská Kamenice, lies near Jetřichovice. Near Jetřichovice, the Chřibská Kamenice formed the valley. Pavlínino údolí comprises sandstone walls, romantic meanders of the Chřibská Kamenice and the Rusalčina jeskyně.

Culture and history

The historical origins of Jetřichovice are connected with Falkenštejn Castle, which was built to protect the Česká silnice. A quest leads through the history of the Česká silnice and its surroundings. Near Jetřichovice, the remains of a rock castle have also been preserved, including a hall carved into the rock, a window niche and a chapel.

The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Jetřichovice stands on the site of a chapel dating from 1748 and was reconsecrated in 1993. Jetřichovice had climatic and mineral spas for periods of time. The Expozice Leporelo offers a virtual tour.

Trpasličí skála beside the road from Jetřichovice to Rynartice contains steps carved into the sandstone in 1832 and 1833, as well as reliefs of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and is now a cultural monument.

Further trails in the surrounding area

The yellow-marked trail from Jetřichovice is considered the most reliable route to Dolský mlýn in winter. Visitors can explore the entire Dolský mlýn site on foot. The project envisages the creation of the Česká silnice educational trail in České Švýcarsko National Park along the Vysoká Lípa–Zadní Jetřichovice route.
