Nove Mesto V Krusnych Horach: Hotels and accommodations

The Krušnohorská magistrála comprises 60 kilometres of groomed cross-country ski trails. They run from Nové Město via Moldava, Cínovec, Mikulov and Dubí to Fojtovice and Komáří vížka.

Nature and landscape

Grünwaldské vřesoviště is located 2.5 km west of Nové Město. It comprises an active raised bog, a bog woodland, as well as transitional bogs and quaking bogs.

Mount Bouřňák is located in the vicinity of Nové Město. The surrounding area is home to the Osterzgebirge Wildlife Park, the ruins of Hrad Kysperk, and the mountains Stropnik, Vlčí hora and Kahleberg.

Trails and winter sports

An alternative hiking route from Hrob via Vlčí kámen and Vitiška to Nové Město railway station is 9.7 km long and has an elevation gain of 525 metres.

Connections

Nové Město is located on the Most–Litvínov–Moldava railway line. Regular bus services operate to Hrob and Teplice.

History and culture

The first written mention of Nové Město dates from 25 August 1341. Osek Monastery is located in the vicinity of Nové Město, while Purschenstein Castle is situated in the wider regional area.
