Světec: Hotels and Accommodation

In the northern part of the municipality, north of the village square, stands Světec Chateau. The two-storey, single-wing Baroque building is part of a park enclosed by a stone perimeter wall and containing several mature trees.

Culture

The Church of St James the Greater in Světec has been remodelled in the Baroque style and originally had Romanesque origins. The three-nave building has a five-sided chancel and a roof turret. The former cemetery around the church is now laid out as a park.

The Neoclassical chapel in Úpoř, a district of the municipality of Světec, dates from the second half of the 19th century. It has a gabled roof with a hipped end and a roof turret.

The Vojtěch Preissig Gallery is located in the former parish house in Světec, where art openings are held. Vojtěch Preissig was born on 31 July in Světec near Bílina.

The former farm complex includes a former smithy, a barn and a fruit-drying house.

Leisure

The Pánevní cycle route passes through Světec. Márinka is a flooded former quarry. At the Márinka reservoir there is an artificial sandy beach for summer recreation; in winter, the water surface can be used for ice skating.
