Nové Sedlo U Žatce: Hotels and accommodations

Nové Sedlo is located 5.5 km from Žatec on a saddle-shaped slope on the right bank of the Ohře, which encloses a valley basin there. Today, the Ohře is about 1.5 km from Nové Sedlo; its old riverbed is still visible near the village.

The marked Cyklo_15 cycle route leads from the Ohře via Číňov, Břežany, Nové Sedlo, Žabokliky, Selibice, Větrušice and Čeradice to Žatec.

Culture

The Church of the Most Holy Trinity and Saint Wenceslas was built in Nové Sedlo between 1735 and 1737. It has been preserved in its original, stylistically intact condition and is of great cultural and historical value. Next to the church stands a Baroque column of the Most Holy Trinity dating from 1730. The sculptural group of the Most Holy Trinity in Nové Sedlo is an immovable cultural monument.

History

The Neo-Renaissance château of Nové Sedlo, together with its adjoining park, was built between 1898 and 1901. It is falling into disrepair and is not accessible.

Event

On Saturday, 28 September, a traditional Wenceslas concert was held in the Church of Saint Wenceslas in Nové Sedlo, which is becoming increasingly popular with locals and visitors from elsewhere.
