Počedělice: Hotels and Accommodations

Geographical Setting

Počedělice lies on the left bank of the Ohře in the hinterland of the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area. The landscape is predominantly used for agriculture. Forests cover only a small part of the municipality; they are located in the Ohře Valley southwest of Volenice.

Culture and History

Počedělice was founded as a market village with a regular square village green. In the western part of the village green stands a stone cross marking the water level reached during the devastating flood of February 2, 1862.

The protected grounds of the Church of Saint Gall include the church, the surrounding wall, a stone cross, 16 cast-iron crosses, and the enclosed plots. The church was built as a late Romanesque structure, extended in the Gothic style in the 14th century, and its western façade was remodeled in the Baroque style in 1760.

The Ohře Cycle Route No. 6 runs through Počedělice. It continues to Litoměřice, where it connects to the Elbe Cycle Route No. 2. The Ohře Cycle Route runs from the river's source between the Bavarian towns of Bischofsgrün and Bad Weißenstadt to Litoměřice.
